Turn to Us for Dental Extractions
Though it's meant to last a lifetime, many things contribute to the need for dental extraction. Most of these cases are for teeth that are so damaged that they cannot be fixed, whether due to the result of trauma or decay. Some other common causes are listed below.
Crowding in Mouth
Sometimes it is necessary to pull teeth in preparation for an orthodontic procedure. Orthodontia is meant to align teeth correctly, which can be impossible if the teeth are oversized relative to your mouth. Also, if an individual tooth can “erupt” due to lack of space, the dentist might need to pull it.
Infection
When decay or tooth damage reaches the pulp, or center of a tooth containing nerves and blood vessels, then the mouth can be infected by invading bacteria.
The most common method used to correct this is via root canal, but if antibiotics or RCT can’t cure the problem due to its severity, an extraction may be needed to stem infection.
Dentures
Dentures are detachable replacements for teeth that are missing, as well as surrounding tissues. There are two kinds of dentures to choose from: complete and partial.
Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, and partial dentures are used when some natural teeth are still remaining.
